Strikingly rich and colorful-looking reticulated enameled brass bowl on a ring pedestal base; perfectly sized to serve as a catchall or vide poche or as a decorative accent on a plate stand (plate stand is not included). A mid 20th-century piece with no makers label but attributed to Penco Industries, an import giftware company that was located in New Bedford, MA from 1966-2007 which imported handcrafted artisan pieces from India and Taiwan. It measures 9½” x 9½” x 2” W/D/H; weight 1 lb. Handcrafted from brass; foliate and vine intaglio design on the front has been hand painted in earthy enamel paint hues of copper, pale persimmon, bronze and dusty silver with a hint of gold. In excellent condition with minimal age-appropriate wear; slight brass oxidation on the underside that could be polished to a shiny finish but why would you? Photographed in the round on the plate stand to show all sides and nuances of the design and construction. Note, plate stand is not included. With its global look-and-feel, this beauty’s eye-catching design will complement most any design style in today’s modern spaces!
