Just in this very rare and large Art Nouveau English Porcelain Advertising Inkwell, E. Porcher, Paris France.The Etablissement Porcher, Paris SA, manufactures and sells and installs sanitary equip-ment , including sinks, toilets, etc..
This inkwell was made in England as an advertisement for the company, given probably to their best clients at Christmas time.
This one is massive, 18.5" L, and dates from the early 1900, the decor is definitely from the Art Nouveau period.
There are 3 inkwells, 2 are porcelain, one is glass.
The name of the Porcher company is in gold lettering.
It is marked "Made in England " .
Very good antique condition, constant with age and use, no chips or repairs.
