An exceptional early 19th century Chinese Canton blue and white porcelain dish, delicately crafted in the elegant shape of a leaf. The hand painted village scene, rendered in rich cobalt tones, captures tranquil riverside life with fine detail and balance.
This piece exemplifies the artistry and refinement of the period, with crisp painting and a pleasing glaze surface. The dish is notably in extremely good condition, with a shallow interior depth of approximately ½ inch, making it ideal for display or use as a refined accent piece.
A wonderful example of Canton export porcelain, graceful, timeless, and beautifully evocative of early 19th century craftsmanship. Chinese circa 1820 to 1830.
