Crafted in England from unglazed, fine-grained Jasperware stoneware, the bowl features a deep matte blue body with crisp white bas-relief decoration—the classic colorway most closely associated with Wedgwood. Measuring approximately 3.75 inches high by 8 inches in diameter, the round form is both elegant and substantial.

Surrounding the exterior is the celebrated “Sacrifice” frieze, depicting draped Greco-Roman figures performing a ritual offering—often interpreted as the Sacrifice to Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture and the harvest.
