This elegant set of 8 white porcelain bread plates by KPM Berlin showcases the refined minimalism of the Feldblume pattern, also known as Fleurs Estivales. Subtly embossed with delicate grasses, wildflowers, and insects, each plate reflects the timeless simplicity and craftsmanship that defines mid-century German design.
The form was created in 1938 by modernist ceramist Trude Petri, while the relief decoration was designed by Gerhard Gollwitzer, who later became KPM's Artistic Director. Their collaboration resulted in a perfect balance of function and art—ideal for lovers of Bauhaus-inspired aesthetics and clean, sculptural tableware.
Clearly marked on the underside with the KPM Berlin blue scepter, used in the post-1945 period.
