This is a lovely Limoges Oval Serving Plate. It was made by Charles Field Haviland sometime between 1882-1891. It is 15.25" x 10.5". Its bone white grounds is delicately decorated with subtle floral decoration of blue flowers with yellow centers. It is marked to clearly denote its manner, time and place of origin, "CFH / GDM Charles Field Haviland Limoges" France. The delicate gold leaf trim has worn off the rim over the years, but its principal decoration remains strong as if the item were produced only yesterday. The "Schleiger number" given to generations of collectors of Haviland fine porcelain over the years is "1311-1". Excellent condition, Made in France.
