This tall antique floor clock from Sweden has a squared cap raised bonnet which crowns its round-shaped head, that houses the original metal face and movement (with hand painted numbers and decorative metal hands) set behind glass. The soft, raindrop shaped body, is accentuated with upwardly-curved carved-trim molding about the neck and waist. There is a small glass window set within the door, and note that the door pull is not original, but a later addition. The body is supported on a stacked base that is slightly raised from the ground upon shallow, bracket style feet. The clock has both early and later paint. This clock will make a wonderful decorative object. This 19th century Swedish long-case clock stands over 7.5 feet in height

This clock is not currently in working condition. Upon completion of purchase and before shipping, a new quartz battery will be added behind the face. The original hands are too heavy to carry the quartz movement, so they would be changed to black hands in a similar in style. A pendulum will be selected and added to work with the quartz movement. The clock would then chime at the top of each hour (the chime can be turned off).
