These circa 1957 ultra-cool lux mid-century-modern armchairs with wonderful walnut bases retaining their original finish as well as their original labels. Complete reupholstering just performed and finished with a durable, textured fabric from Knoll Textiles.

Ideal for conversation, these club chairs are sophisticated and elegant yet compact and comfy. Please note, these armchairs are ready for immediate placement. Perfect in so many settings; living room, study, den, or office, just to name a few.

During the upholstery restoration, our master artisan upholsterer discovered a 1957 date stamp hidden internally on the frame. (see photo).

Excellent condition. The walnut bases with original finish show some minor honest wear marks/scuffs/blemishes here and there. Upholstery is brand new and in immaculate perfect condition.

Jens Risom is widely considered to be a pioneer in introducing Danish modern furniture to the United States through early work with the Knoll company and to a greater extent through his own company, (Jens Risom Design) which thrived in the 1950s and ’60s. See less
