Absolutely beautiful and finely crafted studio pottery bowl. This shape/form is hard to master with the thin walls of the bowl, and this piece is wonderfully executed. The inside of the bowl features rust, blue, teal, sage green, and teal glazes in an abstract pattern. The outside of the bowl features a white ground with radiating teal vertical stripes in a style reminiscent of the pottery of Vallauris, France.
Signed by the artist on the bottom, hand incised "Cm V." Sourced from the Dallas estate of a woman who collected fine studio pottery from around the world.
