Lustrous vintage two-piece pedestal compote bowl. The piece is made of blown mercury glass, also known as silvered glass, created by blowing double-walled glass and coating it with a silvering solution. The bowl has a wide flared rim and can be used alone or with the pedestal base. There is no maker's mark. Wonderful on its own or to display something sweet.
Overall dimensions are 10" diameter x 10-3/4" high.
Bowl measures 10" diameter x 4-3/4" high.
Base measures 5-1/4" diameter x 6-1/4" high.
