Beautifully detailed and finely crafted Mid-Century Desk Box.
Hard-formed metal with heavy hinged lid and a blue velvet interior lining.
Large Faux tusk ornament on the upper left corner - nicely formed and a very cool look. But no big game were harmed!
Marked India on the bottom.

My husband still loves a proper desk and an office, and we are lucky to each have a space of that type we can call our own. While he is not a big game hunter, he loves British Colonial, Campaign, and Chinese Export styles, and this nails that look! And it's surprising heavy and well crafted, implying it was quite a fine acquisition a few decades ago. Tons of style for modest investment!
