The Karl Johan movement ran parallel to the Biedermeier movement happening in Austria and Germany in the early 19th century.

Originally purchased from Rita Bucheit, the preeminent Biedermeier and Art Deco furniture in the United States. Recently acquired from an estate in Chicago with architecture by Bobby McAlpine and interiors by Tracy Hickman. See less
