This architectural timepiece features a stately form with fluted columns, finial urns, a domed arch, and a classical female figure standing above the clock face, all entirely hand carved in wood and finished in a thick, luminous layer of original gilding.

The patina is extraordinary, showing centuries of graceful aging that enhance the depth of both carving and gilded surface. The Roman numeral enamel dial is nestled within a drum-form case supported by classical ornamentation, including rosettes, garlands, and medallions.
