20th c. Blue & White Peacock PLATE/Shallow Bowl, Signed, Attributed to Andrea by Sadek, Genshou, Japan, 10" Diameter, Tan Rim
Lovers of Blue & White, here is a great decorative bowl (very shallow), in a gorgeous Chinoiserie pattern of Ming trees, flowers and bountiful geometric designs with a Peacock as the center focal point. The slightly scalloped rim is trimmed in a tan colour.
The base is signed, and I believe the translation represents Andrea by Sadek. This vintage glazed porcelain bowl is of Japanese origin, most likely manufactured in Genshou.
The very heavy plate/bowl weighs almost 2 pounds.
