Add a touch of timeless Italian craftsmanship to your space with this vintage hand-carved alabaster bowl, made in Volterra, Italy by Alabastri Ducceschi. Ducceschi became known for its elegant bowls, vases, figurines, and catchalls made from genuine alabaster and were popular throughout the mid-20th century. Featuring a soft, cotton candy pink hue with subtle natural veining, this bowl is a shining example of Alabastri Ducceschi and embodies the elegance and charm of classic Italian stonework.
Alabaster, prized for its smooth texture and translucent quality, has been used by artisans in Volterra for centuries. This piece is a beautiful example of the region's tradition of working with this delicate stone. Its rounded form and polished surface make it ideal as a decorative accent, catchall, or jewelry bowl.
The base has a sticker that reads: GENUINE ALABASTER – MADE IN ITALY – DUCCESCHI, a nod to its quality and origin. Please note: there is a small chip on the underside of the base, barely visible when displayed.
