Designed by celebrated British ceramic designer Susan Williams-Ellis, founder of Portmeirion Pottery, the Birds of Britain collection was introduced in 1978 and features detailed ornithological imagery adapted from historic British bird illustrations.

This particular Blue Tit motif is increasingly difficult to find, particularly in the 6½-inch rimmed bowl form.
