A fabulous and rare walnut and rosewood long dresser made in Grand Rapids and sold by John Stuart Inc circa 1960’s.
The piece has been restored in a multi-coat hand rubbed high-performance satin oil finish to protect and bring out the beauty of the wood. The dresser features a distinctive recess around the drawers and cabinet doors with contrasting grain rosewood veneer. Drawer and cabinet fronts have gorgeous bookended walnut veneer. The pulls are bronze anodized metal. Inside the center cabinet is another drawer and an adjustable shelf. The 2 bottom drawers are divided. Front of base is faced with a complementary black laminate panel.
Our search has not uncovered any of the same or similar designs so this was likely custom produced and/or in limited quantities.
