Elegant, organic modern blown glass sculpture featuring pinks and greens in a natural shape that can be interpreted by its viewer - is it a starfish? Is it a drop of rain that has just made impact with the ground?
The sculpture was made in the style of Josef Hospodka, a glass artist working with Chribska Glass Works in Czechoslovakia. He created glass bowls in the 1960-70s with the same shape, color, and size. The inner opaque white rim is a telltale detail of his work.
This historically significant, beautiful object d’art will complement any 20th-century contemporary decor from Mid-Century Modern to today.
