19th Century English Twin Fusee Bracket Clock. Clock features carved foliate scroll and gadroon mahogany case on four bun feet. Case showcases a rich grain and carved acanthus scrollwork embellishing the base and pediment. The circular dial, adorned with Roman numerals and decorative flourishes, is set with a brass bezel and signed R. Cave, Dover. Silk backed filigree sound windows on sides. The clock houses an 8-day twin fusee movement, striking the hour on a bell, a hallmark of quality English bracket clocks from this periods.
