This elegantly eye-catching metal tôle beauty’s inspiration comes from a design style of tôleware that was popular in the 18th -century which had a brief revival in the mid 20th-century. Decorated with beautifully painted gilded-looking stylized florals, leaf sprays and other leafy foliage motifs on a subdued yet rich looking brushed antiqued ivory background. Underside was left simple, in a pale ivory hue. An all-around gilded lip gives the tray an elegant and artistic finished look-and-feel that will complement most any design style. This beauty measures 22¾” x 10¾” x 1¾ W/D/H; interior 19¾” x 8” W/D; weight 2 lbs. 5 oz. In excellent condition with minimal age-appropriate wear. The maker of this tray is unknown but during the 1950s and 1960s, American companies such as Plymouth, Nashco, Pilgrim, and Fine Arts Studio produced reproduction tôleware pieces, particularly trays and either one of these companies could have produced this lovely tray. Note, plate stand is not included.

This beauty will look fabulous atop an entryway or sofa table or adorning a shelf or fireplace mantel balanced on a plate stand (not included). For a collector of beautiful tôleware trays of any period, this beauty will not disappoint!
