Lovely vintage French tapestry, likely depicting a scene from the Louis XV era. Tapestries like this were popular in the 17th and 18th centuries as decorative wall hangings in Europe.
we believe this to be a combination of wool and silk using a technique to create detailed images of a depiction of a courtly life, as the clothing and interior design suggest the 18th century, specifically the Rococo period, which aligns with Louis XV's reign.
Perfect piece to hang on the wall, as part of a gallery, behind your headboard. It hangs vertically. It does not have hooks, so you would need to use commando strips, or some other sort of wall hanger.
