Each leaf is hand carved in the shape of a fall leaf. The wood grains are carefully selected.

Natural clear lacquer finish.

Paper storage box. The label reads as “Famous Trees of the World". The larger characters read "Yakisugi” while the smaller characters to the right read "Sekai no meiboku," which means "famous trees of the world

Incised to the underside of each leaf is 屋久杉 or Yakisugi denotes the 100 year old sugi or cedar wood that was used to make this set.
