The hand-painted 22kt gold floral design on this antique T & V Tressemann & Vogt Limoges soup tureen is a work of art from the Victorian era.
Produced by Tressemann & Vogt in Limoges, France for Ovington Brothers New York, the vintage porcelain tureen would make a dramatic and sophisticated decor accent displayed on a formal dining room side board. The antique Limoges tureen could also be used as intended to serve soup.
This circa 1900s Limoges porcelain tureen is well over 100-years old. The tureen is in good antique condition showing wear consistent with its age and use including some wear to the gold design. The tureen has one small cup on the rim of the bowl as shown in the listing photographs which does not show with the piece is displayed.
