This stunning art nouveau dessert set is of the Victorian era, created sometime between 1884 - 1909 by MZ Austria. The set includes a cake plate with handles and five small plates. These pieces display a rose and grape transfer pattern accented with a stenciled gold overglaze border.
Measurements: Dessert plates 6" diameter. Cake plate 10" Diameter.
Condition: The cake plate is in good condition, there are two hairline cracks on the underside of the plate - please see pictures. They are only visible on the underside of the plate. There are no chips or crazing on this piece. The dessert plates vary in condition from very good to good. One plate has a chip and cracking. There is no crazing present. These rest of the smaller plates display some very minor loss of pattern and fleabites here and there - as one would expect of 110+ year old household ceramics.
