Glenny … Read more This antique clock has the original white enamel dial with Roman numerals and spear-like hands. It is signed W.H. Glenny Sons & Co. Buffalo on the front. W.H. Glenny & Co. was founded in the year 1876 in Rochester, NY, and had a branch location of W.H. Glenny, Sons & Co. of Buffalo until year 1911 when it was succeeded by another company, The company sold china, crockery, glass ware, solid silver ware, clocks, etc.

The clock has a carrying handle, beveled glass panels on all sides, and an oval beveled glass on top. The glass allows viewing of the mechanical parts of the clock. A door opens on the back to allow a double ended winding key to change or set the time and wind the clock. The finish is original with a heavy patina. The number 1127 is stamped inside on the back of the clock along with the initial L and the number 8 on the bottom right back inside. When wound the clock runs for approximately 6 days. It keeps accurate time, but keep in mind it is a mechanical clock. There was a chime, but it no longer works. The brass case is worn. Comes with the original key.
