Here we have a very pretty vintage art glass catchall. I'm certain this bowl is from Murano Italy because my grandmother purchased it in the late '50's to early 60's. However, since there is no label or signature I must label it Murano Attributed. Lovely organic form in hand blown aqua glass with bubbles and sparkly metallic copper aventurine.
PLEASE NOTE: There are five spots (aligned in a circle around the underside of the bowl) that feel rough. These are very hard to see, in fact I never noticed them in all these years until it was time to examine and describe the bowl here. I believe they would be considered manufacturing "flaws" NOT damage. Perhaps these imperfections are normal to handblown glass? I have no idea, but even though they're camouflaged by the bubbles and aventurine I do like to mention for accuracy. Please examine the magnified photos. A few spots are extra blobs of glass that sticks out and another feels like a popped bubble or strawmarks? There are NO chunks of glass missing. Might not be for a perfectionist collector, but it still displays very well if you love mid century glass aqua and copper....thanks for looking!!!
