These amazing monumental lamps are forty inches tall and are perfect for a grand living room or large bedroom. Restored for immediate use. These lamps have been completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and reassembled with a New brass necks, New brass sockets, New brass harps, New brass finials and New clear electrical cords for safety. The carved wood bases are original to the lamp and remain in their original condition. Designer/Decorator ready.

The lamps are high gloss white porcelain with hand painted Cerulean blue peacocks on the front surrounded by flowers and vines. This particular color of "Kutani Ware" is nearly impossible to find in a pair of lamps of this magnitude. These gorgeous blue and white lamps are also hand painted with detailed metallic gold fine lines. Both lamps are signed on the bottom of the porcelain with a Kutani Japanese symbol. This particular square symbol is called a "Kaku" Japanese Seal Script authenticating these lamps as original Japanese Kutani from the period.

Most likely these large vintage lamps were made by the Marbro Lamp Co., which produced many "over-sized" lamps sourced ceramics from well know Japanese, Chinese and Italian high-end luxury makers. Authentic to the period.

VINTAGE LAMP SHADES INCLUDED:
The extra large Pagoda style lamp shades are a beautiful Cerulean blue color with a gold leafed interior to match the lamps. These vintage shades are made of a textured composite "RESIN" and are quite large, strong and durable. However, they show signs of wear, especially in the interior gold area where there is crackling.

LAMPS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
LAMP SHADES ARE IN FAIR CONDITION. We are including the shades in the sale, but we do recommend new shades, as the existing blue & metallic gold shades do show signs of wear commensurate with age.
