Each plate is 12.25 inches wide and made from thick heavy pottery with fabulous dense glaze. NO chips, cracks, scratches nor damage of any kind. I've always kept paper between them when stored so they don't have any foot rim wear. They go great with many different dish patterns to make any table setting extra special.
