Item: Vintage Headboard in Chair-Back or Bench Back Style. Will accomodate a Full or Queen.
Age & Condition: Circa 1980-1990. Good vintage condition with a bit of wear in the area it bolts to a metal frame.
Dimensions: 61″ wide x 41″ tall.
Beautiful Colonial style headboard for either a Queen or full sized bed. This vintage black and gold headboard has a Hitchcock-style design, althougn is unmarked by any makers mark.
Colonial Style Headboard
This nice Colonial Style headboard features really pretty folk-style designs across its slats, and touches of gold around the rungs. The headboard base is painted black, and it is definitely reminiscent of a chair or bench back in style.
Although it is unmarked, the headboard likely was made by Ethan Allen or Hitchcock Furniture, who made lovely traditional Colonial style pieces like this in the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
Overall the headboard shows very well, but has a little bit of wear in the area where it would bolt to a metal frame. Please see photos.
