A 19th century Country French comtoise, or grandfather clock, with polychrome painted pine case and embossed brass pendulum. Seven day Morbier movement, professionally cleaned and in working order. Enamel face signed by the clockmaker, P. Marcy and the name of his town, Vans (in Southern France). Embossed brass clock surround and pendulum, each with a gold sheaf of wheat against a blue ground. Bronze bell chime. Small abrasion in enamel near center at nine. Circa 1880-1900
