A fine and quite large green and gilt clock in the classic French circular wall hanging format and dating ca. 1825. The surface is wonderful, with the gilded grape leaf design clear and bright while showing age and good patina in the best possible way. Clock face has a convex glass cover glass with an interior glass surface with painted numerals. The original movement has been replaced with a modern C battery powered movement which accurately keeps time!
