Perfect for holiday gatherings: Thanksgiving, Feast of the Seven Fishes, Christmas, New Year's Eve... or any time you want a uniquely formal tabletop. Set of 14 includes 12 dinner plates, 1 large covered serving dish, and 1 gravy boat. Pieces are white porcelain with fish designs and gold rims. Plates feature 8 different fish designs. With their simple shapes and colorful fish patterns, these mix well with a variety of tableware both old and new. Marking identifies these as Alt Schonwald, made between 1927 - 1950. The Schonwald Porcelain factory was established in 1879 in Germany / Bavaria and operated under the same name until 1972. Great vintage condition; please see condition report for full details.

Dishes show signs of light wear including light scratches or marks. Gold trim shows moderate wear. There is a small uneven area on the edge of the serving dish lid; it is smooth so I'm not sure if this is a manufacturing flaw or a small chip that was repaired. 2 plates have small chips on the bottom rims, shown in photos. No other damage to set detected. less
