This marvelous 19th Century style potpourri is created in a gorgeous white hard paste porcelain and is decorated with a … Read more This marvelous 19th Century style potpourri is created in a gorgeous white hard paste porcelain and is decorated with a variety of hand painted 3 dimensional flowers, gold gilt trim and pierced openings. The beautiful removable lid sits atop the gently shaped vessel with a flaired base. There are two elegant "C" shaped handles on either side. These lovely potpourri were used to store dried flowers to scent the drawing room. Stamp reads: Crown with cursive "L" and Bavaria which is most likely Passau porcelain, made by Dressel, Kister & Co/Lenck. This beautiful piece most likely dates from 1910. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Height from top to bottom=14-1/2 inches, Width at widest=8-1/2 inches, Depth front to back=6-1/2 inches. This marvelous 19th Century style potpourri has been well cared for, gently displayed and is in excellent antique condition, free from chips, cracks, losses or other imperfections.
