Maker: The long history of the Czech porcelain maker Pirkenhammer began in 1803 when Friedrich Hölke and Johann Gotlob List created the Friedrich Höcke manufactory in Pirkenhammer, Bohemia, near the major porcelain producing center of Karlsbad, now known as Karlovy Vary. The town of Pirkenhammer is now called Brezona, Czech Republic. The company quickly earned a reputation for excellence.
Through mergers and acquisitions, the company became known as Fischer & Mieg in 1852 and retained that name until 1908, when Wilhelm and Viktor Maier took over. After more ownership changes, the factory became part of the Epiag group of porcelain makers in 1918. It's still in business. Source: theoldstuff.com
