Ruby glass is the most rare and sought after of the antique glass because they used gold oxide in the glass to get the Ruby color. It was expensive,so now it’s rare. These plates are fire polished so they were made by one of the elegant glass companies. Tiffin, Fenton, Norwood etc. the only marks on these plates are straw marks that came from laying the hot glass on hay to cool off. This is true for all glass from this era. See less
