This vintage Bavarian cabinet plate features a romantic scene of a Fragonard courting couple in its center, set against a deep cobalt blue background. Delicate 24k gold stippling frames the central medallion and outlines the smaller scenes along the border. The courting couple motif, inspired by the renowned French painter Jean Honoré Fragonard, remains a timeless favorite.
The plate is in very nice condition with minimal gold loss.
