Late 19th C ornate gilded gold French style frame in the Rococo manner with shell crest and two curved front feet, and easel back. Includes old original glass and cardboard backers. Excellent antique condition with some typical age-appropriate wear and light verdigris to gold finish. I believe the intricately detailed frame's front is made of spelter metal, commonly used in this period for statuary to mimic bronze, and the easel back appears to be brass.
Ready to use and enjoy with your own special photograph or piece of art. The view area measures roughly 3.75" wide x 5.75" tall, and the actual dimensions of the slot area are 4 1/8" wide x 6.5" tall.
Overall exterior dimensions of the frame are 8" tall x 5" wide. Depth from front to back including easel back is 3.5" at the base.
