A talented ceramist, with an original production full of finesse, Denise Picard has produced poetic ceramic works since the 1940s, with remarkable quality of execution. This “fish” bowl is a fine example of his work, beautifully made and equipped with a creamy enamel in orange-pink tones, bright and lively.
Denise Picard worked with her cousin, the ceramist Paul Pouchol, notably by participating in the production of the Primavera workshops. She worked in Vallauris in Drôme. The zoomorphic cup is in good condition, very well made. It is hand-signed with the ceramist’s initials on the reverse.
