This antique clock from … Read more A Swedish 19th century painted wood floor clock with pedestal style base flanked with column accents. This antique clock from Sweden features pronounced volutes carved at both sides of it's head, a lyre-shaped body and rectangular base flanked by two stylized Corinthian columns. The color of this clock is a vibrant white. Some original wood is visible through the white paint. The trim and motifs are of a light shade of green-grey. This clock has words written on the inside of its door as well as the date 1900, probably added at a later date.

Though it retains its original face and movement, it is not currently in working condition. Upon purchase (and before shipping), a new quartz battery will be added behind the face. The original hands are too heavy to carry the quartz movement, so they would be changed to black hands in a similar in style. The clock would then chime (the chime can be turned off). A pendulum selected to work with the quartz movement would be added.
