This clock retains its original metal … Read more An exquisite Swedish 19th century floor clock with carved crest topped with a ball. This clock retains its original metal face and hands. This Swedish clock has very subtle and pretty painted details. The face features two series of numbers. The clock is dated (1859) and signed on the body itself. The door comes off completely. Along with the head, the bottom part is another nice feature of the clock with its scalloped and volutes decorated design.

This clock would be wonderful as a decorative object, however it is not in working condition. Upon purchase (and before shipping), a new quartz battery will be added behind the face. The original hands are too heavy to carry the quartz movement, so they would be changed to black hands in a similar in style. The clock would then chime (the chime can be turned off). A pendulum selected to work with the quartz movement would be added.

We are firm at our list price if you would like the clock to be quartzed.
