Very … Read more Charming and unusual late 19th-century faux bois cast metal child's picture frame hung from delicate articulated gilt wire easel. Very cool! Lovely casting of faux wood logs with berries, leaves and vines encircling the logs. Simply adorable and so unique-adds character to any display! Frame is made to look like bronze with verdigris, is heavy, and does not magnetize. Gilt wire easel is articulated to mimic a branch and has two gilt leaves at the top framing the hook that the picture hangs from. So sweet! Photo inside frame is of a small boy and is dated 1880s on the back. Likely French in origin, there is no maker's mark found.

Measures approximately 4 1/2" w x 3" d (open) x 8" h. Frame measures 3 1/2" w x 4 1/4" h, holds a 2 3/8 w x 3 7/8" photo.

Condition is consistent with age and use. Verdigris worn in places; easel gilt needs cleaning,
glass insert has chip in one corner behind frame. None of these affects display or use. See less
