The clock is perched on four cast bronze feet with the wings of griffin's supporting the body. A pair of griffin's are on each side with loops hanging from their mouths The black and gold clock face is enclosed by bevelled glass. The inside workings are marked Ansonia Clock Co. with patent dates of June 14, 1881 and June 13, 1882. It is also stamped New York, USA. The dark label on the back appears to have the name F. L.
