It was sourced from a Frank-Lloyd Wright style estate in the Madison Park area of Seattle. The home was filled with mid-century customization, artful one-of a kind design and custom touches and furnishings from the likes of Baker, Lane, Maitland-Smith and Drexel. The previous owners were artists by hobby; he was a professor by trade, and she was a waitress at the Space Needle during the 1960's Elvis tour and World Trade Center era of the time. The dresser has had a full and varied life, including some spray painting black and painting of the original brass hardware to a rose gold/copper tone. They are in need of restoration to the image of your imagination. The bones are good, it is sturdy with all original (painted) brass hardware. Areas of the paint on the handles are worn and show a wonderful verdigris patina, complementing the copper color.
