We believe this to be a vesta case, but could be used to hold something like snuff or tobacco or other substances. The piece appears to be very well modeled and cast in two pieces, with snake and mouse decorations. Almost looks like silver deposit on the interior. Could be a fantastic handle for a cane or lots of other purposes.

Condition: Heavy tarnishing and some wear. Cast sections don't line up perfectly.
