This large wall hanging clock was carved in Paris, France, circa 1780. The antique clock is topped with a cartouche frame. Inside the frame, is a small, delicate painting decorated with a traditional Louis XVI ribbon bow. The mirror is embellished with exquisite carved fruit and floral decor on both sides and features a small decorative mirror at the base. The movement is keeping good time, and the mechanism is dated 1778, with marking "Passement", clock maker in Paris. Original key and pendulum included. Overall the time keeper is in excellent condition with a rich patinated gilt finish.
Measures: 23" W x 48" H.
