Vintage mid-century Danish porcelain bowl hand decorated with day lillies and gold leaf by renowned painter Thorkild Olsen (Danish, 1890-1973) … Read more Vintage mid-century Danish porcelain bowl hand decorated with day lillies and gold leaf by renowned painter Thorkild Olsen (Danish, 1890-1973) and dated 1950. The heavily made bowl stands on a narrow round foot with gold rim. The shape is a wide shallow form with a raised rim and a fold back upper rim. The body of the bowl is decorated in grey fine craquele glazes with an over painted inner edge. The interior art features open and closed day lilies in dark brown accompanied by gilded leaves. A gilded line is applied around the edge and foot rim of the bowl. See less
