An unusual set of six Staffordshire, colored Transferware plates with embossed rims, marked Copeland Spode, England, circa early 20th Century. A central image shows a black transfer of flowering cactus plants, colored in red, green, and yellow enamels. The embossed rim shows a stylized running border of raised bouquets in a geometric pattern.
Versos show a black Copeland Spode – England mark, an impressed oval Copeland Spode mark, and a hand painted yellow 9087W which may be the pattern name.
