This is a reproduction of an antique 1700s Swedish Mora* clock in traditional Mora Clock shape but with a modern battery operated movement. Hand Painted in a distressed French gray/blue finish and highlighted in white using chalk paint by Annie Sloan to reflect the age look.
The clock has large numbers a seconds hand and a thermometer that measures ambient temperature.
This mora clock has a beautiful face with a clean patina, top crown, finely shaped body, and an arched base.
* A type of longcase clock, the name comes from the Swedish town of Mora where the clocks were made beginning in the late 1800s. Swedish farmers turned craftsmen, designed and built these to generate income while being affected by years of drought. This cottage-style clock holds tons of history and charm .
