The colors and hue of the china is so beautiful. Based on the underglaze "Mercury" mark and the impressed IV, they were probably made in the later 19th century. They were produced in the town of Mettlach (Germany). See less

- 3 of these plates have original small blue ink spots in the underglaze. 2 have mild knife marks and 1 … more3 of these plates have original small blue ink spots in the underglaze. 2 have mild knife marks and 1 has a crack in the underneath with a barely perceptible hairline crack in the glaze on the top portion. The hairline mark on the top does not show up in a photograph. Please refer to the photos. The edges/rims are all in perfect condition without any chips. less
