Each plate shows a unique black transfer printed image, relating to a month of the year. Illustrated are ‘campagne,’ or countryside activities particular to each month, such as fishing, hunting, picnicking or apple harvesting. The name of the month is printed in French at the bottom of each image, from Janvier to Décembre.

Eleven plates are excellent, November has a shallow sliver to the rear rim, unseen from the front. See less
